Alicia Hall Moran is a classically trained singer and performing artist. She portrayed “Bess” in Porgy & Bess on national tour after performing in the Tony Award-winning Broadway production. She has been commissioned by the Venice Biennale, Whitney Biennial, Museum of Modern Art, Histories Remixed/Art Institute of Chicago, ArtPublic/Miami Art Basel, the Studio Museum in Harlem, the Kitchen, Brooklyn Youth Chorus, Opera Southwest, among others. Alicia has sung at many top venues, including the Village Vanguard, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Highline Ballroom, the Kennedy Center, and Blue Note Tokyo. She recently released her critically successful debut album Heavy Blue.
