Bridgette Auger

Bridgette is an independent media artist and filmmaker strongly committed to using art for social change. She works primarily in the Middle East and is on the creative team of Terrestrial Journeys, a theater program working with refugee women to process trauma.

Bridgette’s work has been praised in The Guardian, New York Times, Die Zeit, and shown in the short film This is not me: Enduring Syria’s War. She was the 2012 recipient of the Tierney Fellowship and holds a photography degree from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and earned a master’s degree in Social Documentation from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is currently a 2016 National MediaMaker Fellow at the Bay Area Video Coalition.
