Sarah Clements is student at Georgetown University with a double major in Government and Justice and Peace Studies. Her concentration is in Restorative and Community Justice. On December 14, 2012, Sarah’s mother survived the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. In the aftermath, Sarah began to work to address gun violence in every type of community, through legislative action, cultural change, and bridge-building. Since moving to Washington, D.C., she has worked with various local, state, and national groups on the issue, and continues to volunteer her efforts with various projects, mainly focused on youth engagement in the movement.
